dream a little dream for me...

Oh goodness....november 6th.....how we've neglected this poor poor website. Not that many are necessarily reading this, but if you are, you are amazing.
Things are interesting...
-Bears
-Nuts
-Books
-Photographs of books
-Elephants and sidewalks

What are you doing, sitting on the ground?
Watching people walk around
Look up and looking down
Do you think you'll ever be found?

kephsy says:

bonjour, invisible fans. soon you will be participating in operation Get More People To Read This

RURi and i are being obsessive with the best place in the world because we are freaks and nerds.

other news: nebula skirts and mustard yellow work together! and boots...
and oxfords...
and shorts..
RURi and i have decided to not buy groceries when we "grow up" because we need clothing that is beautiful...

song

songs are like inspirations to style like classical is like an inspiration to ball gowns.

music can transform any moment. just a normal time sitting at the computer or playing with a young child can be turned into something memorable and important.

Being at the top of the game at school is rather interesting. When i was younger, everyone older seemed important and special. But when you are actually in that higher position, it doesn't seem almighty and perfect. it feels like crap, really, most of the time. homework takes over the whole of your life.  Middle school kinda sucks. but, remember: THERE IS ALWAYS CHOCOLATE TO GET YOU THROUGH THE DAY.

i like regular t-shirts with fancy skirts to transform the t-shirt into something rugged but glamorous. and just to still be on the subject of music, try out regina spektor. shes a really good artist and she is stylish and has red lips. also adele she sounds american but shes english...

gracefull

grace kelly... in rear window. she was beautiful, in her "paris fashion now" outfits, and fragile, and wonderful.
she's in the middle with her beautiful dress that splays out in pleats above her knees, and her pearl necklace pairs with the little half-sphere white buttons. stella, the broad shouldered woman on the left, is wearing a brown dress with little bows all over it, completely opposite from grace, who plays liza.
liza's style shows who her character is, very flowy and full of love for everyone.

in the beginning credits of "charade" with audrey hepburn and cary grant, it says "mrs. hepburns clothes by Givenchy."

oh no......

I have deeply neglected tending to this poor blog. With school and other things, I've been busy.

I have taken a new liking in shoes. I really want a pair of lace up oxfords or super tall lace up boots like these, but I may get something similar. My friend who rides horses has a pair of the most beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful riding boots that are TOO SMALL FOR HER BUT FIT ME! YAY! and if i'm lucky i shall take them off the hands of her.

I also really like this certain genre of furniture. it is so twisty and alice in wonderlandish! or right out of dr suesse!  its so very whimsical, and i think i am going to look into maybe getting some for my new room.
eeew, wouldn't this be gross? grabbing a doorknob shaped as a hand? yuck! not appealing to me. at all.

a very good book.

giddyap

belt buckles are divine to me just because of the simple way of treating them to pants or skirts. maybe it can be a necklace or a brooch? or a cat collar?

who knows. all i know is Rachel of the Urge to Adorn is an artist.

all she wants to do is make art, she says. no work, ever.

whenever she sees art on the street or in the mainstream, she gets ideas and gets ready.

sneer

i think this is an appropriate picture for what i am feeling with these vibes that i am receiving about halloween and beyond. i was thinking of going as elton john because i like his style in the early years. i' not going as him for halloween because he's scary, which he's not, but because halloween is an awesome chance to be someone whom you are not, which everybody does even when it isn't the 31.
i would go as a glamour girl but after looking at that i see that its going to be like walking down a runway exactly except for the collecting of sweaty handfuls of candy.

enjoy more pictures

ermmmmmmm

the heat. is killing. me.
in PE today, (oh ho, hold onto your belts because this is RIVETING) we played soccer with a 11 foot high ball. not that it bothered me, but i had to run around. actually i was close to tears and close to crawling, because it was about 100000000 degrees outside. hence the ermmmmmmm. i had a feeling that i might pass out from the heat, so after we jogged a lap (i walked) i went to change into my REGULAR clothing. the PE uniforms are, uh, not flattering? so i, like, got out of there ASAP? (pronounce ay-sap.) like, yeah?
well i must rest my aching body, so enjoy this video of an albino squirrel.
actually i lied.
the heat has turned me evil. there is no squirrel. ha.
o kephsy (see thats how mean i am no kisses just hugs)

vibrant

i thought i heard something on the radio the other day about blogging and people who crash fashion week. speaking of, fashion week is early september. in nyc.
i wish i was still an east coast gal so i could stand outside and sort of peek in like a creeper.
huh. i thought that you could only be invited.
turns out that thats not how Remy Renzullo and Becca Shulmin envisioned it.
i like her outfit though.
and the shoes.
shoes are a different part of an outfit.
it's like OUTFIT: clothes. part one.
then the shoes. part two.

doc4b83647383fca068342060.jpg
sorry if it doesn't show up. my computer is weird like that...

so anyway, they wrote a letter to find an invite to Alexandre Herchcovitch's Fall Winter 2010 show in NYC.

but enough criminal records, tomorrow is back-to-school day.
i already went BTS shopping. heheh. i am very happy.

oh my goodness its a.... CHICKEN

ok.
no wait. its a beautiful necklace that i bagged for 6 DOLLARS! @ a vintage beach store. it was on sale.
haven't had time to do a lot of posts but RURi hasn't done ANY! so why should i? because i care.

you can kinda see me being all creeperish in the back there, but that is not to bad because creepers are not bad people! actually most of them are except for SOMEONE I KNOW WHO STALKS LITTLE BABIES AND OLD PEOPLE BECAUSE SHE THINKS THEY'RE CUTE. ahem. why are you looking at me?

yeahhh.
anyway. fuzzy boots and men looking very bored and warm. it sounds like Chanel. winter show 2010. but enough witty banter (cue old men in suits at the oscars), because its time for...
DOC MARTENS! RAHHHHHHH
boot numbah 1:

they're called fernando. cue ABBA. or white skirt. OR LADY GAGA in her reverse nun outfit. ahem.

um, last boot number 2, i know i'm sorry.

meh it's blurry but its A RELIC!
