the heat. is killing. me.
in PE today, (oh ho, hold onto your belts because this is RIVETING) we played soccer with a 11 foot high ball. not that it bothered me, but i had to run around. actually i was close to tears and close to crawling, because it was about 100000000 degrees outside. hence the ermmmmmmm. i had a feeling that i might pass out from the heat, so after we jogged a lap (i walked) i went to change into my REGULAR clothing. the PE uniforms are, uh, not flattering? so i, like, got out of there ASAP? (pronounce ay-sap.) like, yeah?
well i must rest my aching body, so enjoy this video of an albino squirrel.
actually i lied.
the heat has turned me evil. there is no squirrel. ha.

vibrant
i thought i heard something on the radio the other day about blogging and people who crash fashion week. speaking of, fashion week is early september. in nyc.
i wish i was still an east coast gal so i could stand outside and sort of peek in like a creeper.
huh. i thought that you could only be invited.
turns out that thats not how Remy Renzullo and Becca Shulmin envisioned it.
i like her outfit though.
and the shoes.
shoes are a different part of an outfit.
it's like OUTFIT: clothes. part one.
then the shoes. part two.
sorry if it doesn't show up. my computer is weird like that...
so anyway, they wrote a letter to find an invite to Alexandre Herchcovitch's Fall Winter 2010 show in NYC.
but enough criminal records, tomorrow is back-to-school day.
i already went BTS shopping. heheh. i am very happy.

haven't had time to do a lot of posts but RURi hasn't done ANY! so why should i? because i care.
you can kinda see me being all creeperish in the back there, but that is not to bad because creepers are not bad people! actually most of them are except for SOMEONE I KNOW WHO STALKS LITTLE BABIES AND OLD PEOPLE BECAUSE SHE THINKS THEY'RE CUTE. ahem. why are you looking at me?
yeahhh.
anyway. fuzzy boots and men looking very bored and warm. it sounds like Chanel. winter show 2010. but enough witty banter (cue old men in suits at the oscars), because its time for...
DOC MARTENS! RAHHHHHHH
boot numbah 1:
they're called fernando. cue ABBA. or white skirt. OR LADY GAGA in her reverse nun outfit. ahem.
um, last boot number 2, i know i'm sorry.
meh it's blurry but its A RELIC!

Haircut Problem
Yesterday, I decided for a change, and instead of my chest-length hair, i had it cut around chin length, and straightened it. Why i did it, i don't know because now my hair will take FOREVER to grow! ( I made a rhyme!) I'll just wait for it to grow out, i suppose. I'm not in a good mood for writing, so i'll keep it short.
spider web weaving
i love love love rodarte. they make me think of pretty cats with wrinkly faces.
the fall 2010 line is gorge. i think that the sisters do winter and fall very well.
the fall 2010 line is gorge. i think that the sisters do winter and fall very well.
see how the skirt folds? and how the gloves have little inputs of transparent and opaque fabric? and the tights... don't you want them?
see... if i was front row at a fashion show covering it all in my little notebook and ooing and aahing about Marc and Uncle Karl, then my life would be complete. i could sit around NYC and Milan and Paree all day and pick at my Doc Martens. and paint my eyebrows blue.
so anyone reading this who is of any importance in the fashion world, like Uncle Karl, or Tavi, or MARC, for godsakes, please comment on this, because i love you guys. and i love fashion, and i love journalism. so when i'm a twenty-something long-haired boho living in my Anthropologie set whitewashed apartment, then i'm gonna mash it all up and be a fashion writer. i've never thought of being anything else.

ok, this is hyperventilating my soul
gasp. emma watson is a gorge piece of work. have no idea what i am talking about? see for yourself:
isn't she a beaut?
this is probably celeb-tastic looking right now.
so onto the turkish fes-monkey things
um, yeah, i want this in my room.
fes' are the bomberanian* and so are turkish fes-monkey's. i wish i had a piece of work like this hanging on my wall.
tribal crazies* on the beach of the Burning Man fest.
the lingo at this place is incredible, just like the lingo at the maker's fair.
"i can't find the marker car, i heard it was covered in markers," and "oh there is the ritual coffee! hey, wait that man is wearing my lace goggles,"
the lace goggles look a little like the Lady Gaga one's in Alejandro.
SPEAKING OF:
http://www.kostumekult.com/
is a great site full of weirdo clothing. got quite a few ideas on how to spend my last week of summer.
GAH! my last week of summer!!!

splash of color and manarchy
hey people of fashion world-
got a new purchase yesterday at the cool modern/old toy store, revolution number 9.
its a rose ring (so pretty) and its a light blue. pictures below.
you can't really see the color but it's there.
also, who got the new Vanity fair? we did. i love lady gaga. she is an absolute fashion inspiration!
definetly gaga for the lady.
i did like her louise brooks goes platnium wig phase.
but the hair on the first page of the article is stunning. its real, too.
ok. has anyone noticed that on the runway or on the street you don't get man models? i know, it's women's high class fashion, but still. i think that the deserve a chance to show of their muscles.
its total manarchy, dude.
oh gosh i just made up a new term! it's probably not new though. i mean, if i was aware when fashion blogging just got started, me and RURi could be big people in the fashion world.
ok, one other thing:
its a bag/clutch!

Tin Can Art
My mum checked out a book at the library the other day and there is some very cool art in it. It is called the fine art of the tin can and shows a bunch of art made from metal cans and containers

Remember in preschool when you would use 2 cans connected by a string to "communicate"? Ah, those were the days. What if communication was as simple as screaming across the room or the street? but i suppose you couldn't phone grandma who lives in new york. But, back to the tin can subject, the 2 can string phone would not be too convenient for home-to-home contact. you could string the cans through neighboring windows, but the whole connection of people would hear your conversation. I don't even know if it would work with more than 2 cans! Ah, nevermind.
Wouldn't it be lovely to have a pet octopus? One of those beautiful creatures suspended in a tank in your room? I would love that! Yet, octopi don't live terribly long, only 6 months for the small ones, so it would be a short-lived event. But they are still one of my favorite animals and the most amazing sea creatures!
enough for now,
RURi

Elf Clothing
If i were wearing these one of these outfits, I would feel like a small elf walking through the forest. ( hopefully a cold forest because it looks rather warm.) I found it on Etsy ( a website where you can buy and sell handmade stuff.) except these are 200$ plus and are all reserved.

so beautiful i want one!
maybe ii could harvest about 6000 different sweaters, develop incredible sewing ability and make one!
i want one so bad

Babysitting a demon-angel
I'm babysitting my small brother who is currently sitting at the table eating a microwave-exploded marshmallow, and is covered in sticky nasty white goo. It had been occupying him for about 10 minutes. Wowwww.
I like tights. they make your leg a whole different color!!!
like green!
I really love gorgeous dresses like this:

the patterns accent the shape nicely. I wish i had that dress!!
thats all for today!

the sibling likes to fight. a lot. and i am tired of getting wimply punched in the arm, so we made a deal. i am nice to him and he is nice to me. i know, the few of you who sit at the computer and read this blog are probably saying, "are you serious? thats what you can come up with?" so yes. that is what i can come up with, and we're obviously not very smart right now and needing to go to school.
so advancing on the subject of multi-cultural fashion, there is a store in SF that i love dearly called MultiKulti, and it has the most insane multiculti fashion you can think of right now. it's mostly Spanish, since its in the Mission, but it has Rasta, Pasta, and even Icelandic. or it did the other day.
ok, now that we are on to SF store things, i am feeling sort of travel guide-ish.

i want a redo.
its kephsy here, darlings.
listen to me, and listen carefully. i have a recipe for disaster. it's called bad scissors. i tried to make a t-shirt modification, and now its just 3 big scraps of multi colored t-shirt. i bought it special.
i guess i should have looked for better scissors rather than the ones that my brother used in kindergarten. they still had glue on them.
it was this morning though, that i was going through my little girl things. i found a little doll that looked like America's Own Hannah Montana, and i dressed her up. i even made her a belly button piercing, but i doubt Miley has one. actually i don't. sorry Miley.
ANYWAY, i'm so excited to see the Vampires Suck movie! awesome! spoofs on overly pale vampires. sounds excitingly awesome.
i loved in the trailer when edward powdered his face.
seems like real life to me...

picture time again
i realized that i am an old-fashion lover. i love a lacy dress as much as anyone, but i love it even more as a regular everyday outfit. old fashioned swimsuits are so glamorous! i love the ruffles and the muted flowers. like at www.topshop.com they have beautiful dresses and they remind me of standing under a crystal chandeleir.

is it in a sneezing place?
loving the style of new fashion like the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 shoes. they reming me of fish. oh you know what would be cool in the future? ahem. mini. fish. bowls. on the shoe. a goldfish swimming around the heel. yes.
xx kephsy loves you. www.robesnues.blogspot.com
now a word from Ruri. extending on Kephsy's subject of goldfish inside of unusual objects, i really do enjoy it when people house a fish in a bowl or glass container. My mum, who loves to find bargains and free things, found this fantastic glass jar that looks rather vintage. I just wish i had a fish, one with silver scales, to have it swim about in its long jar form.
For the fashion insight bit of my post, i feel many "high class designers" are giving you a big fat rip off. Shabby-chic clothing items, like things with unfinished seems meant to look homemade, are popular right now, such as pre-ripped jeans or natural-stitch/seam sweaters. most people can pick up an old sweater, some scissors, and a needle and thread and get to work for 30 minutes, resulting in a beautiful, original masterpiece made by yourself, worthy of the runway. that was one of our many projects and adventures ( kephsy and i ). We made lovely altered tees better that whatever Dolce and Gabbana can chuck into a magazine.
for all the health freaks out there, i would not suggest picking up a mere package of Fun Dip. I happened to have sampled one around 2 hours ago, maybe 1, and my tongue is still dyed a ghastly blue hue. only you can guess what kind of strange chemicals the manufacturers add into the little mixture of powder.
Farewell, RURi>>
its kephsy now. believe it or not, we are next to each other on a smiley-face beanbag with a sheepskin on our laps because we are afraid what the evil computer mind juice will do to our internal organs.
ok, admit it. evryone has a softy spot for nastay foodies. like kraft mac and cheese? please dont get me started. i see people who look like hippie commune healthazoids walk into a Safeway and grab 3 packs.
i see things... ooooooooooo...... i like to observe. one time i was at the county library and this popular girl walks in and starts picking her nose and (ew!) eating it in the safety of the aisles. i am too nice to exploit these horrific creatures (nevermind i did that nose thing when i was little YOU DID TOO HAHA i know your secrets) and their doings.
i love old people. and babies. but nobody in between. jokes, darling. i happen to like very a lot of people too much!
now back to fashion.
turns out i like sweater dresses more than dresses.
